In Buddhist symbolism, the lotus is symbolic of purity of the body, speech, and mind as while rooted in the mud, its flowers blossom on long stalks as if floating above the muddy waters of attachment and desire. On Sunday August 24, RKSF held its Annual Rummage Sale to benefit the youth group and outreach programs. New this year was the offer of a tour of the building and explanation of the altar as well as basic RK teachings. A handful of people asked for the tour and we made a great connection.
